This kit contains all the Field & Game Elements required for the 2024 - 2025 VEX IQ Competition Game, Rapid Relay.

Note: VEX IQ Competition Field Perimeter & Tiles are not included with this Kit. Must be added separately

The IQ Competition Kit makes starting a new VEX IQ Challenge team easy. This kit contains all the parts from the VEX IQ Education Kit and adds another two bins of parts and extra motors to allow teams to build a competitive robot.

Organised Storage is a Game Changer The IQ Competition Kit comes packaged in four storage bins to keep everything organised and easily accessible.

VEX IQ Electronics The IQ Competition Kit comes with everything needed to power, remotely operate, and code your robot. The Robot Brain now includes a colour screen. Improvements have been made to the Robot Battery that lets your competition robots run for even longer, the wireless controller that enables operation and testing of robot builds, and the Optical and Distance Sensors that enhance detection capabilities. Even though we have made many improvements to the electronics, IQ is still forwards and backwards compatible with the 1st generation electronics.

This controller packages analog joysticks and buttons into a familiar video-game style design. A rechargeable battery ensures enough charge to get you through multiple class periods or a full day of competition. VEX IQ Robotics Competition Legal. This kit contains everything needed to get a classroom or VEX IQ Robotics Competition team up and running with Pneumatics.

Pneumatics deliver fast and powerful linear motion that is useful in a variety of applications. Use pneumatics to power your robot's claw, intake deployment, or any mechanism that requires quick motion. In particular, pneumatics are useful in applications requiring only two positions (open/closed, up/down, etc.)

The IQ Optical Sensor is a combination of ambient light, color, proximity and gesture sensor.
Color information is available as RGB, hue and saturation or grayscale.
Color detection works best when the object is closer than 100mm.
The proximity sensor measures reflected light intensity, and as such, the values will change with ambient light and object reflectivity.
The Optical Sensor has a white LED to assist color detection in low light conditions.
The gesture sensor can detect one of four possible gestures, an object (hand or otherwise) moving up, down, left or right over the sensor.
The IQ Optical Sensor works with both IQ Robot Brains (1st and 2nd generation).


Note: The IQ Optical Sensor replaces all the functionality of theVEX IQ Color Sensor (2283012)

These kits contain all the parts needed to convert a 1st Generation VEX IQ Kit to a 2nd Generation Education Kit, minus the electronics. Structural and Motion parts only.
