  • The fischertechnik Starter Set for micro:bit is the perfect introduction to programming for students in grade three and above. Designed to make the basics of coding with micro:bit single board computers accessible and easy to grasp, this comprehensive set includes everything needed to get started.

    With this kit, students can build three stationary models—a pedestrian signal, hand dryer, and barrier—that are equipped with actuators and sensors. The set also features the new fischertechnik "micro:bit IO F5 adapter," which provides 8 outputs and 6 inputs, enabling control of these simple yet effective demonstration models using the micro:bit board.

    To assist educators and students, a detailed pedagogical manual is available for free download from the fischertechnik eLearning portal. This manual includes setup instructions, a variety of engaging tasks, programming examples, and information on the micro:bit board, the fischertechnik IO adapter, and the Make Code software.

    The set contains 90 parts, including an XS motor, buttons, a photo transistor, LED lights, and a printed building manual.
