You can easily mount the clockwork on a decorative plate, but the screw shaft determines how thick a plate you can mount it on. The screw shaft requires that the plate has a hole of 8 mm diameter, which you can make using a drill. Place the black ring and the selected plate on top of the clockwork so that the screw shaft protrudes through to the front of the plate. Then add the metal ring and nut and screw them to the top of the plate. Finally, fasten the hands onto the clock one by one and insert an AA battery into the clock.
These high precision Quartz Clock Mechanisms are great if you want to make your own clock or for replacing faulty clock mechanisms and come with all required fixing hardware and hour, minute and second hands. They are accurate to within 30 seconds per month and run from one AA Battery which lasts over a year. The time is easily set or adjusted with the dial on the back of the unit.
