Introduce students to hands-on electronics and lighting with this engaging USB lamp kit, ideal for classroom or individual projects. The Flexible LED Noodle Filaments USB Lamp Kit (5 Pack) allows learners to build their own colourful LED lamp signs while developing essential skills in soldering and assembly. Each kit includes everything needed to create five USB-powered lamp projects, each using a different flexible filament colour. Designed for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11+ and 14+), this kit provides an excellent starting point for exploring the basics of electronics, lighting, and practical design.
Kit Contents:
5 x Flexible LED noodle filaments (1 of each colour)
The Kitronik 5V LED Desk Lamp Kit provides a bright and efficient lighting solution in a compact, easy-to-mount design. Equipped with nine white super flux LEDs, it delivers a total output of approximately 16,000 mCd. Built-in current limit resistors ensure safe operation from a 5V power supply or 3 x AA batteries, offering up to 5 hours of illumination with fresh batteries.
Build your own electronic dice with the Kitronik Dice Project Kit, a fun and educational soldering project that introduces learners to electronics, circuit assembly and microcontrollers. Once assembled, the kit generates a random dice number every time the push button is pressed, making it a practical demonstration of electronic design and programming in action.
The kit uses seven bright red LEDs arranged in a traditional dice pattern, controlled by a pre-programmed PIC microcontroller. The tactile push button is mounted directly onto the PCB, creating a compact standalone project that can be used as built or housed in a custom-designed enclosure.
Perfect for STEM education, electronics clubs and beginner makers, this project provides valuable hands-on experience while creating a fully functional electronic game.
This learn to solder pack is the ideal low cost solution for teaching soldering in the classroom/after school club. The pack provides all of the parts and PCB's required for a class size of 25 and also includes a 9V battery for testing purposes. Each pack comprises; 25 x PCBs, 100 x 100 ohm resistors, 25 x LED's, and a 9V PP3 battery.
There is also a step by step guide to soldering, which covers; equipment, solder, tinning & cleaning, soldering in 8 steps, de-soldering in five steps, wire preparation, examples of good and bad solder joints, basic PCB repair, resistor information, LED information, full step by step build information for the kit, and how the learn to solder kit works. This guide covers everything that you might need to discuss with students and can form the basis of your lesson plan.
Using the kits and the step by step guide, each student will solder four resistors and one LED to their PCB before pressing it to the terminals of the 9V battery to check that their board works. Using the guides they will be able to examine their own work and troubleshoot problems. The battery pads on the PCBs have been shaped inline with the battery terminals on a PP3 battery making it straightforward to see which way around it should be placed on the battery.
Features:
Purpose built PCBs that can be tested, once built, with the supplied 9V PP3 battery.
Low cost classroom pack for 25 students.
Easy build kit.

The LED kit contains red, green & yellow LEDs in 3mm, 5mm and 10mm round sizes as well as some Colour Changing and Tri colour LEDs plus some 5mm LED panel mounting holders. 105 parts are supplied in a multiple compartment storage box.
This 5mm RGB LED contains three LED elements (red, green and blue). Each element can be controlled independently. By varying the amount by which each element is turned on any colour can be created. They are ideal for designing variable coloured lighting effects.
This LED has a common cathode which is the longest leg (negative).
Standard Diffused LED 3mm single - choice of colours
Red (KI 3501) 3mm standard diffused LEDs have a forward voltage drop of 2.1V and at 20mA output 275mCd. They fit neatly into a 3mm holder and have a 60° viewing angle.
Green (KI 3502 ) 3mm Standard Diffused LED with a viewing angle of 60°. Luminous intensity 35mCd.
Yellow (KI 3503) 3mm standard diffused LED with a viewing angle of 60°. Luminous intensity 125mCd.
White (KI 3564) 3mm Standard Diffused LED with a viewing angle of 60°. Luminous intensity 700mCd.
Blue (KI 3565) 3mm Standard Diffused LED with a viewing angle of 60°. Luminous intensity 500mCd.
The colour changing LED on this kit turns on when it goes dark and stays on for a period of time. This makes a good night light and because the LED is only on for a small amount of time the batteries last much longer than a light that is on all night.
There is an on board trimmer to set the light level at which the LED turns on and another trimmer to set how long the LED stays on for. The maximum duration is about 30 minutes. When set to 15 minutes and activated once a night the batteries will last two months.

Adjustable light level sensor.
Adjustable length of light time.
