The Bee-Bot Programmable Floor Robot 6 Pack is an ideal classroom set for introducing young learners to the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking.

With six Bee-Bots included, teachers can run coding activities with several groups at the same time, making the pack particularly useful for whole-class lessons, learning stations and collaborative projects.

Bee-Bot is programmed directly using the directional buttons on its back, so pupils can begin exploring coding without needing a computer or tablet. Children enter a sequence of instructions and then press GO to see Bee-Bot carry out their program. This immediate physical response helps make concepts such as algorithms, sequencing, prediction and debugging easier for young learners to understand.

The current Bee-Bot can remember sequences of up to 256 steps, allowing teachers to progress from very simple routes to increasingly challenging programming activities as pupils develop their skills.

Bee-Bot also features customisable audio feedback. Children can record their own audio for commands, adding another interactive element to lessons and supporting different approaches to learning. Bee-Bot can also interact with other Bee-Bots and Blue-Bots, which is particularly useful with this six-robot classroom pack.

Although Bee-Bot is an excellent introduction to coding, its classroom applications extend far beyond dedicated programming lessons. With Bee-Bot mats, teacher-created grids and other accessories, teachers can develop activities involving maths, literacy, geography, storytelling and topic-based learning.
