Pupils can be asked to identify a particular shape or attribute before planning and programming Bee-Bot or Blue-Bot to travel to the correct square.

Activities can be easily adapted to suit different levels of ability. A simple challenge might ask pupils to program Bee-Bot to a circle, while more advanced tasks can combine several properties, such as finding a shape of a particular colour and size or planning a route while avoiding selected shapes.

As pupils plan their routes, they are also developing important early coding skills.
