The ELECFREAKS Inventor’s Kit for Raspberry Pi Pico introduces pupils to programming, electronics and creative problem-solving through hands-on projects.
At its core is the Wukong2040 expansion board, designed for the Raspberry Pi Pico. Its modular design makes it easy to connect components and explore how code controls physical devices. The kit includes 11 types of sensors and actuators: six input components and five output devices, providing a range of possibilities for interactive projects.
Start with Blocks, Progress to Text-Based Coding
Beginners can use MicroBlocks graphical programming to build programs with blocks while learning how inputs and outputs work together. More experienced users can explore CircuitPython, with support also available for C and C++.
Practical STEM Learning
Pupils can experiment with sensor readings, programmed responses and interactive outputs, developing their coding skills as they build and refine projects. The kit is suited to classroom STEM activities, coding clubs and independent exploration.
