Pimoroni Inky Impression 4.0inch For Raspberry Pi

The Pimoroni Inky Impression 4.0" for Raspberry Pi is a colourful ePaper display for creating digital picture frames, calendars, information screens and home automation dashboards.

Its E Ink Spectra 6® technology displays six colours—red, green, blue, yellow, black and white—with a 600 × 400 pixel resolution for crisp text and detailed images. The reflective screen remains visible in bright light and offers wide viewing angles without a backlight.

The screen only consumes power when refreshing and retains its image between updates, making it ideal for projects that display information or artwork that changes occasionally.

Four rear-mounted buttons allow users to interact with their projects. Built-in Qw/ST connectors support compatible Qwiic and STEMMA QT sensors and breakouts, while an expansion header provides connections for additional hardware.

The display comes fully assembled with a 40-pin extension header and mounting standoffs. No soldering is required when your Raspberry Pi already has a 40-pin GPIO header fitted. Pimoroni’s Python library provides tools and examples for displaying text and images.

Please note: Raspberry Pi sold separately. This is not a touchscreen. A complete refresh cycle typically takes 20–35 seconds, depending on the Raspberry Pi and operating conditions. The glass display is fragile; handle by the board edges and avoid pressing on the screen.

A standard delivery charge of €6.95 will be applied to the majority of orders under €150. We usually don't charge delivery for orders over €150. Other charges may apply if heavier products (clay, plaster, reams of paper etc) or large equipment (desks, cabinets etc) are ordered, but we will notify you before the invoice is issued and goods are dispatched.
