The ELECFREAKS Octopus Breakout Board provides convenient access to the BBC micro:bit’s input and output pins, helping pupils connect external components and explore practical electronics.
Each standard sensor connection includes signal, power and ground pins, arranged in colour-coded rows to simplify wiring. The board is compatible with the ELECFREAKS Octopus sensor range, making it a useful addition to classroom coding projects and STEM activities.
An onboard voltage switch allows selected ports to operate at either 3.3V or 5V, enabling connection to compatible 5V sensors. The board also provides access to serial, I²C and SPI connections for more advanced projects.
Use it to develop sensor-controlled lights, soil moisture monitors and other interactive inventions, combining programming with hands-on experimentation.
