Ultimaker Tough PLA is an advanced technical PLA filament engineered to deliver the strength and durability of ABS, while maintaining the ease and reliability of standard PLA. It is ideal for printing large functional prototypes, manufacturing aids, and technical models where performance and consistency matter.
Combining high impact strength with increased stiffness compared to Ultimaker ABS, Tough PLA is significantly less brittle than regular PLA and produces a professional, matte surface finish. It offers excellent dimensional stability, making it particularly suitable for larger prints without the common issues of warping or layer delamination often associated with ABS.
Like standard PLA, Tough PLA is easy to print and requires no enclosed build chamber, ensuring safe and user-friendly operation in classroom, lab, or workshop environments. Heat resistance is comparable to regular PLA, so printed parts should not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 60°C.
Ultimaker Tough PLA is fully compatible with Ultimaker support materials, including PVA (water-soluble) and Breakaway, allowing for complex geometries and full design freedom.

Shipping & Returns
A standard delivery charge of €6.95 will be applied to the majority of orders under €150. We usually don't charge delivery for orders over €150. Other charges may apply if heavier products (clay, plaster, reams of paper etc) or large equipment (desks, cabinets etc) are ordered, but we will notify you before the invoice is issued and goods are dispatched.
