More Information
The ELECFREAKS XGO Robot Dog Kit V2 for the BBC micro:bit brings programming and engineering together in a compact, four-legged robot. Learners can use MakeCode or Python to program movements, create action sequences and explore robotic control.

Flexible movement β 15 degrees of freedom
With 15 degrees of freedom, XGO can perform different walking movements, change its posture and operate its robotic arm. Students can experiment with coordinated actions and see their code brought to life.

Robotic arm and gripper
The integrated arm and gripper allow XGO to pick up and carry small objects. Learners can create practical challenges involving reaching, gripping and moving objects.

Built-in posture stabilisation
Built-in motion sensing helps XGO maintain its posture as the surface beneath it changes. This gives students a practical way to explore balance, movement and how robots respond to their surroundings.

Code, control and experiment
Start with MakeCode graphical programming before progressing to Python as coding skills develop. XGO also supports app control and compatible wireless controller projects.
The aluminium body, ABS legs and XGO Adapter expansion board provide a platform for classroom robotics activities. GPIO and IΒ²C connections support additional hardware, while online ELECFREAKS tutorials guide learners through programming and movement projects.
Recommended for ages 12+. Includes a built-in rechargeable battery. A BBC micro:bit board is required forΒ programming and is sold separately.
