More Information
The ELECFREAKS micro:bit Nezha Pro AI Mechanical Power Kit brings construction, robotics and coding together through hands-on projects. Designed for children aged 7–14, it allows learners to build mechanical creations that respond to voice commands and hand gestures.
Built around the Nezha Pro Expansion Board, the kit combines over 500 ABS building blocks with 12 electronic modules, including voice and gesture recognition sensors. Through 16 guided projects, learners progress from exploring mechanical movement to programming interactive machines, developing spatial awareness, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Control creations with voice and gestures
Use the gesture recognition sensor to control a racing car, robotic arm or desk lamp with hand movements. The voice recognition module introduces another way to interact, allowing learners to operate their builds using spoken commands.
Flexible ways to get started
The Nezha Pro board’s standalone mode allows selected basic activities to run without a micro:bit or programming, providing an accessible introduction to mechanical control. Add a BBC micro:bit to explore coding with MakeCode or Python and develop more advanced projects.
Smart motors and straightforward connections
The PlanetX Smart Brick Motor combines motor and servo functions, supporting both continuous movement and precise positioning. Built-in protection helps safeguard the motor against overheating and stalling.
Colour-coded sensor connections correspond with MakeCode programming blocks, helping learners identify the correct ports as they connect and programme their projects.
Build a variety of working models
Guided projects include:
- Simple quadruped robot
- Mechanical dog
- Gesture-controlled racing car
- Gesture-controlled desk lamp
- Voice-controlled transport vehicle
- Voice-controlled beetle robot
Suitable for classroom STEM activities, robotics clubs and learning at home, the kit encourages learners to build, test and refine their ideas.
