Wheels Defense may not always win championships, but being able to move does. Put some power on the floor with our large variety of wheel options available for builders. Omni-Directional or Mecanum Wheels are great for quick, lateral movements. If you need more grip, Traction Wheels offer great pushing ability and are designed for optimal grip on soft surfaces like the foam tiles used in the VEX Robotics Competition.
Use these extension cables to extend the length of your motor, sensors, and other electronics wires. The 2-Wire Extension Cable Bundle includes: (2) 6" cables (2) 12" cables (1) 24" cable (1) 36" cable

Because that wheel isn't going to drive itself. Give your motors something to turn with VEX EDR Drive Shafts. Want a smoother ride? Use Bearings and Shaft Collars to keep your mechanisms and wheels moving smoothly, and locked into place. Use spacers if certain parts of your robot need to be properly positioned, or you need to add space between metal.
A standoff is used in mechanics and electronics to separate two parts from one another while creating a rigid connection. All VEX Standoffs have 8-32 threads.
Gears are one of the primary sources of power transmission in VEX EDR. We offer a variety of both normal and high strength gears, that come in a multitude of shapes and sizes. Start with a simple project like building a gear reduction, and work your way up towards building more complex mechanism such as a differential for a drivetrain. More information on gears and power transmission can be found in theVEX EDR Curriculum. Note:We are currently transitioning our stock of 84T gear packs (276-3438) from Green to Red gears. You are not guaranteed to receive the color shown in the product photos.

Thesechain linksfromVEXcan be combined in any desired lengths to form a chain up to 48 inches. The chain can be used as part of a robotics design project or in a range of other applications. Suitable for use with VEX Sprocket ; Chain Kit (available as VEX 2762166) Includes 140 chain links 20 chain attachment links Every link can act as master link Links 0.25in. wide
Lighten the total weight of a robot or mechanism while still keeping it strong. VEX aluminum kits contain the same metal components as standard structural kits (C-Channel, Plates, and Bars), at a fraction of the weight for improved robot performance! Compatible with all VEX Motion and Structure components. This 12" battery extension cable allows for greater flexibility in robot design. Now you can design a battery compartment into your robot regardless of where the microcontroller is mounted. Designed for either of the VEX 7.2V Robot Batteries Mounting plate makes a permanent battery fixture easy
Great for quickly mounting objects. Wrap the Cinch Strap around the object you want mounted, loop it through the buckle, and then back onto itself for a secure hold using VELCRO® brand hook and loop fastener. The buckle allows the user to "cinch" the strap tight around the application.
Quickly mount an object
Adjustable and reusable
Secure holding circumference approximately 4 to 7 inches

Start with a simple project like building a gear reduction, and work your way up towards building more complex mechanism such as a differential for a drivetrain. ThisGear Kitcontains additional gears so you will always have the right combination available to ensure you can achieve the desired balance of torque, speed, and direction. To expand your inventing possibilities, the 60- and 84-tooth gears have extra mounting holes. These mounting holes can be used for attaching metal bars or parts to these gears when using them as part of a turntable system, or other similar designs. This kit contains four sizes of VEX Spur Gears (12-, 36-, 60-, and 84-tooth gears). The 60- and 84-tooth gears have extra mounting holes for attaching metal bars or parts to these gears when using them as part of a turntable system or similar design. Create robot transmissions, gearboxes, and gear reductions. Vary the speed or torque of robot motion systems. Increase design possibilities for your robots.
High Strength Shaft Hardware functions similarly to standard shaft hardware, just on a larger scale. Use the High Strength Shaft Bearing to allow shafts to turn smoothly, the High Strength Shaft Spacer Kit to position objects on a shaft while reducing friction, and the High Strength Clamping Collar to hold everything in place. VEX EDR High Strength Shafts are actually designed about 1 mm shorter than their respective comprehensive solution 8-32 Standoffs. This means that if you use standoffs to hold together two pieces of metal, the High Strength Shaft can rest on High Strength Shaft Bearings attached to those two pieces without any cutting required.

Each of these gears has a wider face width; this means each tooth is wider so applied loads will be spread over a larger area. The 12-tooth High Strength Gear is molded out of powdered metal. The 36-tooth and 60-tooth Gears have powdered metal inserts. These metallic components will protect the gear from high loads applied by a VEX axle. High strength gears mate with all VEX spur gears. Double-thick face width provides added tooth strength. Metal Square Hole Inserts prevent axles from "stripping". Use metal pinions for high strength where it counts. Use the round-hole inserts to build free spinning idler gears. Build gearboxes that resist high shock-loads. Bolt Gears together for added strength.
