SoftCut is manufactured to be the best alternative to Lino - designed to extend the block printing experience to a greater range of people. SoftCut is formulated for very easy cutting. It holds fine detail without crumbling and yet withstands the pressures of a printing press, this new material can be drawn on in pencil due to its near-white surface. Finely smooth on one side, textured on the other, SoftCut is both double sided and flexible. Moulded in a clean environment, fully compliant with both EN 71 and the European Directive on Phthalates.

The Essdee Ink Tray is designed for rolling out block printing inks, but is also ideal for paint, PVA glue and other water-based materials. A flat surface and angled walls also make this useful for other types of crafts, like holding beads, buttons and jewellery. Made from rigid polypropylene

Simply transfer the chosen pattern to a linoleum plate (not supplied) either by drawing by hand or by transfer using a tracing paper or carbon paper (not supplied). Using the feathers to be fixed on the wooden handle, hollow out the non-printable parts.

Variable pressure can be applied to the lower roll by 2.2:1 gearbox with the cross-like handle, this reduces your hand-power to nearly a third. With two star-shaped handles the pressure of the upper roll can be adjusted smoothly. On the pressure-stable Multiplex Plate the print is put. With a pre-setting thus many continous printings can be done. Suitable for sizes up to DIN A2.
