Working from my studio in Kinlough Co Leitrim, I am inspired constantly by the various seasons and the resulting changes on the landscape and all it contains, from the beauty of the coast, to the vibrant colours during mid summer, to the more muted tones during Autumn and beauty after the rain. Also, I love to capture people, their poses, expressions, to reflecting different aspects of their lives.
Painting for me has always been a passion, although I originally qualified as a Graphic Designer, but quickly reverted to Fine Art. The contentment, the sense of achievement on completion of a piece of work are truly rewarding - I love putting all my energy into the piece sometimes working fast and returning to the piece on various occasions until I feel it is complete. Working spontaneously often produces my best pieces and often these are the first to sell also. On these occasions I feel that I have transferred the mood of the subject more effectively through the spontaneity of the work. I divide my time between being a Housewife and Mother and Painting, and hope that I have given my best to all.
